Changsha delegation visits Germany, Switzerland, Denmark

From April 20 to 29 local time, a Changsha delegation led by Wen Shuxun, Standing Committee director of the Changsha Municipal People's Congress and chain chief of the city's construction machinery industrial chain, visited Germany, Switzerland, and Denmark to further deepen exchanges and cooperation and upgrade the level of Changsha's opening-up. The visit is part of the city's efforts to thoroughly implement the spirit of President Xi Jinping's important speeches and instructions made during his inspection tours in Hunan, give full play to the advantages of the Changsha Municipal People's Congress in external exchanges, and better serve the overall situation of high-quality development.

During their stay in Germany, the Changsha delegation attended the 2024 Hunan-Germany Economic and Trade Exchange Conference when visiting the Hannover Messe 2024. They conducted in-depth exchanges on promoting economic and trade exchanges between Changsha and Germany's North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW). Wen Shuxun briefed the participants on Changsha's city situation, industrial advantages, relevant policies, and cooperation intentions, and issued an invitation for the 2025 Changsha International Construction Equipment Exhibition. He noted that German enterprises are important participants and witnesses to the development of Changsha. Bosch, Volkswagen, Continental, and other excellent German-funded enterprises have developed and grown in Changsha. With deep affection fostered and fruitful results achieved, it is hoped that the enterprises will further deepen cooperation with Changsha. 

At a symposium with leaders of Bosch headquarters, Wen Shuxun said that Changsha is focusing on building itself into a global R&D center city, and will actively facilitate the R&D and production of auto parts for Bosch new energy vehicles. 

Wen Shuxun also inspected Changsha enterprises participating in the Hannover Messe. Relevant departments were required to vigorously organize enterprises and industrial parks and zones to participate in the exhibition, helping Changsha enterprises accelerate their expansion into the overseas market.

During their stay in Switzerland and Denmark, the delegation attended the Hunan-Switzerland Economic and Trade Conference and the Hunan-Denmark Economic and Trade Conference, and carried out a series of promotion and exchange activities. Wen Shuxun said that Changsha has longstanding and in-depth friendly relations with Switzerland and Denmark. Swiss and Danish entrepreneurs and investors are welcome to tour, invest, and do business in Changsha.

The Changsha delegation also met with local overseas Chinese businessmen in Germany, Switzerland, and Denmark respectively, and warmly invited Hunan entrepreneurs and professionals to come back to build their hometown.
