Japanese travel agents visit Hunan
The 2024 Japanese Travel Agents Hunan Tour concluded on May 15. During the six-day event, the delegation visited Changsha and Zhangjiajie to experience Hunan culture and discover its natural landscapes, giving a boost to Hunan's inbound tourism.
The delegation visited several prominent attractions in Changsha, including Yuelu Academy, Yuelu Mountain, Aiwan Pavilion, Orange Isle, and Tongguan Kiln Ancient Town. These visits provided them with insights into the city's distinctive culture, history, and natural scenery. In the evening, the delegation visited Taiping Street and dined at Wenheyou Restaurant, savoring local delicacies such as stinky tofu and spicy salted duck. They also cruised along the Xiangjiang River to enjoy the night view of Changsha.
The delegation enjoyed their journey to Zhangjiajie, taking in the breathtaking scenery of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park and Tianmen Mountain, and they watched a performance of "Charming Xiangxi", which provided them with insights into the unique folk customs of the ethnic groups in western Hunan.
In addition to the visits and sightseeing activities, an exchange meeting was organized as part of the event. During this meeting, cultural tourism enterprise representatives from Hunan and Japan discussed topics such as how to make Hunan's tourism products more attractive to Japanese tourists, how to promote Hunan cuisine to Japan, and how to enhance collaboration among tourism enterprises in Hunan and their counterparts in Japan.
The event was hosted by the China National Tourism Administration Osaka Office, the China National Tourism Administration Tokyo Office, and the Hunan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, and organized by the Changsha Municipal Bureau of Culture, Tourism, Radio, and Television and the Zhangjiajie Municipal Bureau of Culture, Tourism, Radio, and Sports.
